The Educational Research Exchange (ERE) is an annual mini-conference sponsored this year by the College of Education, Health, and Human Services at Kent State University. The ERE provides an excellent opportunity for educational students and faculty at all universities and colleges to share their research in a collegial atmosphere. The exchange is a great opportunity for students to become comfortable presenting their research, which is an important component of graduate study.

Paper sessions will be organized by topic area by the ERE Conference Committee. Participants will each be given approximately 12 minutes to present papers in a summary fashion. Each participant will provide 10 copies of his or her paper to distribute to the audience. When possible, paper sessions will have members of faculty from the partner universities to serve as session chair and discussant. While computer video projectors will be made available for presentations, it is recommended that participants bring transparency copies of their presentations for emergence purposes.

Posters are an opportunity to present research in a visual and interactive way, and to discuss findings in an individualized and informal manner. Posters should contain an Abstract, Introduction, Methodology, Results, and Discussion sections, and figure(s) and/or table(s) if appropriate. The poster session will be one half-hour in length and your presentation would be brief as participants come by to see your work.

Format for a Proposal
Proposals will be submitted electronically via e-mail as attachment. Follow the instruction for proposal submission on the ERE website. Feel free to contact your institutional representative if you need assistance. The following criteria will be used to evaluate the proposals: (1) Should be 800-1000 words in length; (2) will be judged based on how well it addresses the purpose, research questions, significance, methodology, and results as appropriate for your project; (3) Should have a title and page numbers on each page. (4) Names or institutional identifies should not be included on the proposal to ensure a blind review process.
Research Awards will be presented in several categories. Monetary travel awards may be offered for students (only); specific details of the awards will be provided at a later date. Travel awards will assist student travel to a professional conference in their field to present research findings. Remember, the research you present at ERE may be presented at another conference of your choice.
