Global Deaf Awareness: Hawai’i is a faculty-led study out-of-classroom experience designed for students who are interested in learning about the culture, history, and unique environment of the Hawai’i island of Oahu.
Work with Deaf students at the school for the deaf
Explore American history at sites such as Pearl Harbor
Learn about the culture of Hawai’i by harvesting taro, making leis, and learning how to communicate using hula
Explore environmental science by getting on and in the ocean to examine the impact of global warming on local marine life
