State Teachers Retirement System Scholarship
The STRS Teacher Education Scholarship is available to a deserving student who is enrolled in a teacher education major that leads to an initial teaching license. Not renewable; students may reapply.
Edward E. Kral Scholarship for the College of EHHS
This one-year, non-renewable freshman scholarship is intended for an undergraduate student with a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA. Candidates must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Federal Student Aid application (FAFSA) and must have full-time course enrollment (12-hour minimum each semester). Funds directed to tuition, fees, room and board, and books.
Ebright Scholarship Income
To provide scholarship support to students enrolled and in good standing in the College of EHHS. Award will be applied to tuition only.
Frederic M. DuBois Scholarship
To provide scholarship support for students enrolled in and in good standing in the College of Education, Health and Human Services. Students may be selected on the basis of financial need or academic merit.
Emeriti Faculty Scholarship Award
Scholarship awarded to two full-time students per year, one at the graduate level and one at the junior or senior undergraduate level. Minimum 3.5 GPA, two letters of reference (one from professor/adviser and one from a service organization). Candidates current FAFSA information will be used to determine eligibility.
EHHS Study Abroad Fund
Scholarship for students pursuing a degree within the College of Education, Health and Human Services, having good academic standing (2.75 GPA) and enrolling in a qualified study abroad program.
EHHS Dean's Scholarship
The EHHS Dean's Scholarship is to support students enrolled in a degree program in the College of Education, Health and Human services; Undergraduate or Graduate. Students must demonstrate financial need either through the FAFSA or a statement of financial need. The scholarship is offered each Fall and Spring and qualified students can apply each time.
Frank and Ruth Pamer Scholarship
Scholarship for students enrolled in the College of Education, Health & Human Services who has achieved sophomore or higher class ranking with a preference for students from Summit or Portage counties. Students must demonstrate financial need and is renewable.
Russ Wilson Endowed Graduate Scholarship
A scholarship for a Kent State University graduate student enrolled in any major in the College of Education, Health and Human Services and must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Yaro John Sojka Scholarship in Education
Scholarship fund supporting an incoming freshman who is an education major.
Carrie O and Ray E Marz Scholarship
Scholarship to student pursuing a degree in education.
Katharine Ann Wagnitz Scholarship in Education
Fund to provide a scholarship to Junior or Senior students in the College of Education, Health and Human Services whose academic record has improved over their freshman and sophomore years, and who now demonstrate a commitment to the education field.
Helen Powers Scholarship for College of Education
Scholarship to support students who have shown prior academic performance, financial need, demonstrated leadership on campus and in the community. Preference will be given to graduates of Field High School, Brimfield, Ohio or Mogadore High School, Mogadore, Ohio.
LaVerne M. Jenkins Memorial Scholarship in Education
A scholarship for a student in the College of Education, Health and Human Services with a junior standing or above; 3.0 GPA and demonstrated financial need.

Scholarship support to students enrolled in the College of Education, Health and Human Services
Mary Maher Smith
Scholarship granted to a student with financial need who is preparing to teach.
Vernon E. & Diane M. Roberts Scholarship
Scholarship for incoming freshman enrolled in the College of Education, Health & Human Services who are studying School Counseling or Adolescent and Young Adult Education with an emphasis on teaching Language Arts/English. Must maintain a 3.0GPA, and is renewable. Directed toward tuition, room and board, fees.
Michelle D. Thomas Study Abroad Fund
Scholarship to support College of Education, Health & Human Services Students participating in study abroad. Directed toward any expense related to studying abroad including tuition and fees.
Linda S. Booth Scholarship
Scholarship recipients shall be selected on the basis of education majors with junior year status in the college (60 to 89 credit hours of coursework), with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA. Scholarship recipients shall submit an essay on the value of being a professional educator.
Dunlap Glenn Education Scholarship
Scholarship award for students who are incoming freshman or undergraduates majoring in Education, demonstrate financial need and preference will be given to graduates of Trinity High School (Washington, PA). This scholarship shall pay for tuition, fees, room & board and other expenses.
The Phyllis Consoli Stevens Education Scholarship
Scholarship support for students enrolled in the College of Education, Health & Human Services, with a preference for an Early Childhood Education major and 1st generation college student. Applied to tuition, room and board, fees, books and supplies.
William J. and Earline Long Endowed Scholarship in Education
This scholarship is intended for a student graduating from either Cuyahoga Falls High School or Stow High School planning to attend Kent State University majoring in Education. May be a student with special needs or a student majoring in Special Education.
Diane Burbick Scholarship
Scholarship with a first preference going to a female Kent State University student from the Six District Educational Compact; either she participated in The Diane Burbick Math and Science conference for Middle School Girls; or is in the Compact's Teaching Professions College Tech Prep initiative with the desire to teach math and/or science. Should be an undergraduate student with preference given to an incoming freshman student, admitted to and enrolled in a teacher licensure program in the College of Education, Health and Human Services that leads specifically to licensure in mathematics and/or science.
Dr. Margaret J. Forsythe Graduate Scholarship in Education
Scholarship for a graduate student majoring in Education, with financial need, preference given to a female student.
Alice Sturgill Van Deusen Scholarship
Scholarship for student in good standing pursuing a degree in Education.
