Li Yu Presents Research Team's Paper at CIES Conference

Li Yu, doctoral student in Cultural Foundations, presented The Life Paths of Young Rural Migrant Women: Rural Schooling and Aspirations, at the recent conference of the Comparative International Education Society (CIES).  The paper is authored by Dr. Vilma Seeberg, associate professor, Na Ya, doctoral candidate, and Li.  The paper explore's the researchers' investigation into how young, rural, migrant women in China use their education to empower themselves and how it impacts their life paths, and focuses on the function of aspirations looked at from an instrumental perspective.
