Our students, graduates, and faculty live what they learn. Together, we engage in critical dialogue, build upon the strengths within school communities, and facilitate opportunities to engage in meaningful change. We promote practices and policies within school communities where young people come first, and where we invest in education, especially in our teachers, children, families, and community. We believe schools are significant places where students learn to feel empowered to stand up to injustices, to honor one another, develop compassion, and deepen understanding of their relationship with others. We engage with culturally diverse communities and work to share a common vocabulary. Our students contend civic responsibility is an integral part of what we do. As we continue to promote social justice and equity in schools, we confront challenging moments in our past to foster a shared sense of responsibility for future generations.
