EDAD Networking Social a Success

Current and prospective students mingled with faculty, alumni (from as far back as 1993!), and EHHS administrators at the inaugural EDAD Networking Social on Tuesday, April 18.  Dr. Rosemary Gornik, EDAD Program Coordinator, welcomed a group of over 25 people to gather in the Instructional Resource Center for the event.

"The goal of the social was to provide an opportunity for all of us to build relationships that foster the learning and growth of our students,” Gornik said.  “Most of our students are part-time and it is important for them to feel connected to the college, beyond their classes."

Christa Boske, Associate Professor of PreK-12 Educational Administration, was among the faculty attending the social, along with students from her Tuesday evening courses.  Other faculty in attendance included Dr. Mandy Cenker, Dr. Christine Fishman, 5th grade teacher at Chagrin Falls School District, Dr. Merritt Waters, Lakewood City School elementary principal.

According to Dr. Cenker, “the social was a great way for prospective students and faculty to connect with current students and program alum. I had a wonderful time and look forward to attending next year’s social”.  The networking social was a success and Dr. Gornik indicated that it will become an annual event each spring.
