PH.D.
DESCRIPTION
The Ph.D. in Educational Administration-Higher Education prepares highly effective higher education administrators and staff professionals who possess the skills and competencies required to meet the varied challenges facing two-year, four-year and graduate institutions and communities today, and to help shape educational institutions in the future
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Application deadline: April 1 for Summer and Fall, and September 1 for Spring. Those who wish to be considered for a graduate assistantship for the Fall, should apply by January 15.
Once a completed file has been forwarded to the Program Coordinator, an initial screening will take place. If two or more faculty support interviewing the applicant, the Coordinator will contact the applicant and set a day and time to interview (through Teams). Following the interview, the faculty vote and then send their recommendation to the Associate Dean. The Associate Dean makes the final decision and will notify the applicant (typically within a week or less) of that decision. For a list of admission requirements, please refer to the Kent State Catalog.
Be sure to review the list of frequently asked questions about admission to our PhD program. If you have an admissions question that is not answered there, please contact the PhD program coordinator, Dr. Tara Hudson at tdhudso15@kent.edu.
