Joelle Umstead and Zoe Kriegel

IWCA Umstead Kreigel

Joelle, a Speech-Language Pathology graduate student, and Zoe, a junior undergraduate Speech-Language Pathology student, presented their research at the International Writing Center's Association national conference in Orlando, FL. Joelle’s presentation dealt with the similarities and differences between the resources provided by the KSU Writing Commons and the practices of speech- language pathology for non- native English speakers and students who use various dialects of English. Zoe’s presentation focused on a resource that the KSU Writing Commons offers called "International Conversation Hour". This event invites international students and their families to come practice their oral English and social/ conversational skills with native English speakers.


Angel Kemp


Angel presented her research at the Undergraduate Research Symposium at KSU. Her research looked at acoustic and physiologial differences between resonant and normal speaking voice.
