Jennifer Waugh earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Kent State University and is currently licensed in Ohio as a Professional Clinical Counselor with supervisory designation (LPCC-S). She earned her master's degree in counseling at Kent State University. Jennifer is also a licensed independent chemical dependency counselor (LICDC). Jennifer has 15 years of clinical experience in the mental health field working at community agencies and private practice. She has provided supervision to both interns and dependently licensed professional counselors (LPC) in a number of different settings. Jennifer worked as a clinical director for both residential and vocational programs in a community mental health agency. Jennifer has experience working with all ages, group, couples, individual and crisis counseling. She is trained in CBT for psychosis and Trauma Focused CBT. Jennifer has worked in the Counseling Center as a assistant director since 2017 as well as teaching in the CES program for six years. Her research interests include serious mental illness, crisis intervention, clinical work with college students, evaluating empathy, and supervision.
