Featured Researcher: Dr. Hayley Arnold

Dr. Hayley Arnold, an associate professor in the Speech Pathology and Audiology, focuses her research on the internal and external mechanisms that impact individuals who stutter. She investigates how the linguistic process and public opinion can be used to help those who stutter. Arnold, along with her Exercise Science & Physiology colleague, Dr. Jacob Barkley, is the recipient of a SEED grant from the College of EHHS' Research Council and investigates the effects of short bouts of exercise on stuttering in school-aged children. Arnold publishes articles in respected, peer-reviewed journals in the field of communication sciences and disorders.
