Anne Alfano, M.Ed.
Outreach Program Officer
Anne has attended Kent State University since 1989, earning a B.A. in French and English (1993), B.S. in Education (1996), M.Ed. in EDAD K-12 Leadership (2000), and she is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration. She started her career in K-12 education and held various positions over 17 years: teacher, assistant principal, principal and central office personnel. While she completed her Ph.D. coursework she served as a Graduate Assistant in the Dean’s Office of the College of Education, Health and Human Services while also earning her certificate in Institutional Research and Assessment (2018). She became a doctoral candidate in July 2019.
Outreach Program Manager
Mandy Cenker is the Outreach Program Manager for the College of Education, Health and Human Services’ Office of Professional Development and Outreach. She earned a Ph.D. in Educational Administration at Kent State University in 2016. She received her master’s degree in special education from Malone University and bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Kent State. Mandy’s experience is in special education, curriculum development, assessment, and teacher/administrator professional development. As a former intervention specialist, she is interested in the transitioning of students with disabilities to higher education, in addition to assessment in higher education, P-20 curriculum development and professional development implementation.
