Email Migration Solutions
The university has instituted a policy related to the email accounts of departing staff and faculty members.
This policy dictates that users no longer employed by the university must be moved from the Kent Exchange system to the Kent G-Mail system, which is what students currently use.
When this move occurs for someone you may experience some issues sending messages to them when using Outlook (2003, 2007, 2010, or 2011 for Mac). This normally results in a message being returned to you with "Undeliverable" at the start of the subject and "Delivery has failed to these recipients or distribution lists:" as the first line in the body of the email.
The quick solution is to follow the steps below to remove the history of the auto-complete record in Outlook.
Remove the Individuals Autocomplete History
- Start typing the name that you want to delete.
- When the name that you want to delete appears, use the cursor keys to highlight it.
- Windows: Press the "Delete" key to remove the entry. OR Mac: Click the little gray “X” at the end of the person's list entry.
