Fake or Fact? 13th Annual Poynter Kent State Media Ethics Workshop to Focus on Fake News

Save the Date for the 13th annual Poynter Kent State Media Ethics Workshop on Thursday, Sept. 21, from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The workshop, which will focus on fake news, will take place at the School of Journalism and Mass Communication’s FirstEnergy Auditorium in Franklin Hall.

The cost to attend is $25 for professionals and $20 for educators. The workshop is free for students.

Workshop topics will include:

  • Fake news and media credibility;
  • How to spot and deal with fake news;
  • Implications for the public relations profession; and more.

Speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.
