Kent State University’s 22nd annual FlashFest will host an array of music genres, including rapper Wiz Khalifa, country artists Chase Rice, Jon Langston and Lacy Cavalier, and electronic music duo 3OH!3.

FlashFest will take place on April 21 at two locations on the Kent Campus. Beginning at 4:30 p.m. on the Student Green, the lineup will be Lacy Cavalier, Jon Langston and 3OH!3 with Chase Rice closing the show. This part of the show is free to Kent State students and is weather permitting. The backup location will be inside the Memorial Athletic and Convocation (MAC) Center.

Wiz Khalifa with special guest Chevy Woods will perform in the MAC Center beginning at 9 p.m., with doors opening at 8 p.m. Tickets for this show are $20 and can be purchased online at www.kentstateusg.com or at the MAC Center ticket office. This show is for Kent State students, faculty, staff and alumni. There are no public sales.

"Undergraduate Student Government is extremely excited for FlashFest and we hope the students are too,” says Kristen Kobe, head of marketing for Undergraduate Student Government’s programming board. “We tried to cover various music genres to make sure we had someone for everyone. We truly wanted to make this FlashFest something everyone will enjoy, and we're confident that Chase Rice, 3OH!3 and Wiz Khalifa will all put on great performances."

Kevin Otubu, director of programming for Undergraduate Student Government at Kent State, says he is looking forward to this FlashFest.

“Every year I've been here, they have gotten better and better,” Otubu says. “I'm hoping for great weather this year as opposed to last year, and just enjoying my last FlashFest as a student.”

Wiz Khalifa is known for his popular songs, including “Black and Yellow” and chart-topping hit “See You Again” featuring Charlie Puth from the Furious 7 soundtrack. Chase Rice is well known for songs such as “Ready Set Roll” and “Gonna Wanna Tonight.” The duo 3OH!3 are known for their hits “Don’t Trust Me” and “My First Kiss,” featuring Ke$ha.

Up-and-coming country artists Lacy Cavalier, known for her song “Put You Down,” and Jon Langston, known for “Love While It Lasted,” will both perform on the Student Green before Chase Rice.
