Invitation to Watch Cleveland International Film Festival-Winning Short Films
By Haley Keding
Students and faculty are invited to join together on Saturday, May 6, for a study break to watch this year’s winning short films from the 41st Cleveland International Film Festival.
A 125-minute program, “Best of CIFF 41 Shorts,” will showcase a selection of the winning shorts from 3:30-6 p.m. in Oscar Ritchie Hall. The program is free to attend, but donations to Kent State Independent Films, which is hosting the event, will be accepted.
The Cleveland International Film Festival began in 1977, and it presents the newest and best films from around the world. The 2017 festival saw 202 feature film submissions and 216 short film submissions, all produced in 71 different countries of origin.
