Kent State’s Child Development Center to Hold Dinner and Silent Auction

On Saturday, May 21, Kent State University’s Child Development Center will hold a dinner event benefiting the Robin McManus Scholarship Fund for Children. The Child Development Center is a nationally recognized laboratory school and a fiscally independent program. It is important to the school that no child is denied the opportunity to learn based on the ability to pay tuition. Therefore, the Robin McManus Scholarship Fund was created in 2012. This fund honors Robin, a beloved former teacher who was passionate about working with young children and future early childhood educators. The fund ensures that all families, regardless of socioeconomic status, can afford to attend the school.

The event will be held at the Kent State University Hotel and Conference Center in downtown Kent. Cocktails begin at 6 p.m., and dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Cocktail attire is recommended. The celebration will feature a silent auction with donations benefiting the Robin McManus Scholarship Fund for Children.

The cost to attend the event is $85 per person. To purchase tickets, including sponsored tables, or to make a contribution to the scholarship fund, visit http://ksu.convio.net/McManusDinner or make checks payable to the Kent State Foundation (please write fund #10241 in the memo section) and mail it to:
