Kent State Black Alumni Chapter Hosts Open House, Meet and Greet

All black Kent State University alumni are invited to join the Kent State Black Alumni Chapter on Aug. 4 at 5:30 p.m. to meet the executive board, learn about upcoming events and how you can get involved with planning for Homecoming. You also will have the opportunity to meet current members of Black United Students (BUS). You can become an active member of the Black Alumni Chapter so that you can share your ideas on how to enhance the chapter.

Also, if you have not seen the new home of the alumni association, the Center for Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement (on the corner of Summit and Lincoln Streets – where the DuBois bookstore used to be), come see the new building and take a tour.

Invite fellow Golden Flashes and make this a huge open house! There is complimentary parking in the Center for Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement parking lot.

After the open house, join your fellow Golden Flashes for a stroll down the Lefton Esplanade to downtown Kent for dinner and/or drinks (optional)!

If you have questions, contact Black Alumni Chapter board members Kellea Tibbs at ktibbs@kent.edu or Cinnamon Small at csmall@kent.edu.
