Kent State's Undergraduate Student Government to Host TEDxKentState
By Cliff Glowacki
Kent State University’s Undergraduate Student Government will host the university’s first TEDxKentState event on Saturday, Feb. 18, in Cartwright Hall, located at 650 Hilltop Drive in Kent. TED is a nonprofit organization that focuses on sharing ideas in the fields of Technology, Entertainment, Design and many more. TEDx events are independently organized TED events that bring together people in smaller communities and propel the TED message, “Ideas worth spreading.” With TEDxKentState, Undergraduate Student Government hopes to encourage the sharing of ideas and stimulate conversation within the Kent State and city of Kent communities.
The all-day event will feature more than 20 speakers, stimulating interactive exhibits and much more. Those who attend will have the opportunity to hear talks from entrepreneurs, scientists and influential professionals, professors and even a select group of their peers who are leaders and innovators in their given field.
Tickets for the event, $20 for students, $30 for faculty and staff and $40 for the general public, are now available at www.tedxkentstate.com. A complete schedule for the day and information on all of the speakers also is available at the website. Direct questions to email@example.com.
