Kent State University’s Wick Poetry Center will present “Celebrating Our Own,” an annual undergraduate and high school scholarship reading, on Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the Rockwell Auditorium of Rockwell Hall, 515 Hilltop Drive.
“The annual ‘Celebrating Our Own’ reading applauds the creative talents of our Kent State undergraduate students who have received a Stan and Tom Wick Poetry Scholarship for an outstanding poem,” says Jessica Jewell, assistant director of the Wick Poetry Center.
Brandon Johnson, a Kent State freshman who won as a senior at Crestwood High School, Corinne Engber, a junior English major, Lindsay Miraglia, a senior English major and intern at the Wick Poetry Center, and Tyler Etchell, an alumnus of Kent State’s nursing program, will recite their winning submissions.
“These students are part of our vital, inspired and ever-growing student community which we are so proud to support,” Jewell says.
The event is free and open to the Kent State community.
