Public Health Student Alliance Hosts 1Day Stand Against Tobacco

The Public Health Student Alliance (PHSA), through the Tobacco-Free College Campus initiative, is encouraging Kent State University to take a 1Day Stand against tobacco on March 16. By hosting a 1Day Stand event, the Public Health Student Alliance hopes to keep the conversation going about a tobacco-free Kent State that will end in a healthier campus for everyone.

The Public Health Student Alliance will have a table in the Kent Student Center on March 16, where the student organization will be asking students, faculty and staff to take the 1Day Stand. Participants can exchange their tobacco products for some resource materials and giveaways to support their efforts.

To keep the conversation going, the Public Health Student Alliance will host an open dialogue on the evening of March 16 for the Kent State community to share their feelings about a proposal that would make all Kent State campuses tobacco-free.
