Singing Verse Concert to Take Place April 24

Singing Verse, a recital of new songs presented by Kent State University student poets, composers, singers, instrumentalist, and staged by student fashion designers, will take place on Sunday, April 24, at 3 p.m. in Ludwig Recital Hall in the Center for the Performing Arts on the Kent Campus. The concert is free and open to the general public. 

Singing Verse is a collaborative interdisciplinary project funded by a catalyst grant from Kent State’s College of the Arts. This concert presents new works by students and associates of Kent State’s Wick Poetry Center, Hugh A. Glauser School of Music and the Fashion School. The program also includes a new vocal composition for soprano and piano trio, which is set to Kent State President Beverly Warren's poem, Praise Song for Kent State.
