Spectrum: Connecting LGBTQ+ and Ally Faculty and Staff Announces Its Spring 2017 Kickoff Event
Kent State University's Spectrum: Connecting LGBTQ+ and Ally Faculty and Staff will host a Groundhog Day mixer Thursday, Feb. 2, from 5-8 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Ballroom Balcony.
The event will offer free food and drinks, a cash bar, games and prizes as well as an opportunity to network with colleagues. The organization’s signature rainbow window decals also will be available.
Spectrum: Connecting LGBTQ+ and Ally Faculty and Staff was launched in fall 2016 to provide support and a social community at Kent State. The group, supported by Kent State’s Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, is open to all faculty and staff who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, gender nonbinary, queer, questioning, pansexual, polysexual, asexual or any other sexual or gender identity and anyone who is an ally to the queer community.
