Wick Poetry Center to Hold Dedication, Reception and Artist Talk With Co-founder Robert Wick

Friday, October 14, 2016 - 3:00pm to 5:00pm

The Wick Poetry Center will honor sculptor and co-founder Robert Wick and his new works of art during a dedication on Friday, Oct. 14, at 3 p.m. The dedication will take place at the May Prentice House and showcase Wick’s two newest creations, life-sized bronze busts of his son Stanley and nephew Tom, in the Stan and Tom Wick Library of the Wick Poetry Center.

Following the dedication, a reception will be held in the lobby of the nearby Center for Architecture and Environmental Design. Wick will then deliver an Artist Talk about his creative process and present a slideshow of his sculptures in the building’s lecture hall, Room 120.

The event is free and open to the general public. Those interested in attending should RSVP to wickpoetry@kent.edu by Monday, Oct. 10.
