Women’s Center to Host Quilling Workshop

By Latisha Ellison

The Kent State University Women’s Center will host “Quilling with Ms. Nell” at the Williamson House on Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 5:30-8 p.m.

Ms. Nell is a volunteer who offers her time and skills to teach the art of quilling – a paper art form that involves rolling, gluing and shaping thin strips of paper into different forms to create a picture.

During the workshop, Nell will share stories about her Native American heritage and attendees are encouraged to share their own stories.

Admission to the event is $10 and includes a quilling kit: two cards, glue, pattern and a quilling tool. Attendees must bring their own scissors.

The workshop is open to students, faculty and staff, but space is limited. For reservations call 330-672-9230.
