Fundraiser to Support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at Chipotle

Kent State University employee Stacy Lease will be participating in the upcoming TCS New York City Marathon on Nov. 4.  Ms. Lease will be running as a St. Jude Hero, with the goal of raising $3,500 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Chipotle on East Main Street will be hosting a fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital on Monday, Sept. 24, from 4-8 p.m. Chipotle will donate 33 percent of sales when customers mention that they are there to support St. Jude’s.


Include death notices for current or former Kent State University employees who have passed away within the calendar year.

Betsy Julia Page, Associate Professor, Lifespan Development and Educational Sciences: July 2, 1950-Aug. 22, 2018

Betsy Julia Page, 68, of Kent, died peacefully in the presence of friends at the Woodlands at Robinson in Ravenna, Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018.
Betsy was a life long educator and spent the last 22 years teaching at Kent State University. She will be missed by her work colleagues and students.
Betsy was a member of Kent State University Newman Center and was a Benedictine Oblate of Mt. St. Benedict Monastery in Erie, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Arlene Page; father, Bert Page, and brother, James Page.
A special thank you to the staff of Crossroads Hospice and the Woodlands at Robinson for their warm and loving care.
Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, at University Parish Newman Center with Fr. Steve Agostino officiating. Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of mass. Burial will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
