JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for strategic and project planning, capital prioritization, and stewardship for Kent State University’s land, buildings, space, and continuously changing portfolio which is comprised of 10 locations, 2,500 acres, and 8 million GSF. The Facilities, Planning, and Operations Department has approximately 300 employees, and an annual budget of more than $20 million. The main areas of responsibility include: facilities master planning, capital project planning and construction, facilities operations, infrastructure maintenance, sustainability, and energy management. Responsible for leadership over the complete facilities lifecycle, planning, design, construction, and operations management. Ensure that the goals of the university’s strategic road map are supported by adequate infrastructure, appropriate capital planning, construction planning and design, and facilities operations.
