WORKED AT KENT STATE SINCE:
EMPLOYMENT PRIOR TO KENT STATE UNIVERSITY:
University of Cincinnati
LIKES MOST ABOUT KENT STATE UNIVERSITY:
The chance to interact with students on a regular basis and help them recognize how the humanities, and specifically English literature, connect with their own lives and concerns. The enthusiasm that students show on a regular basis is inspiring.
ATTRACTION TO KENT STATE UNIVERSITY AS AN EMPLOYER:
I appreciate the diverse, flexible environment at Kent State, and the strong support that they offer to faculty. I especially like working at a university where a large number of the students are the first in their families to pursue a college degree.
Ph.D. in English (Kent State University); M.A. in English (University of Cincinnati); B.A. in English (University of Cincinnati)
Gardening, brewing beer, cooking and playing Candyland with my four-year-old son. He usually wins.
