JOB DESCRIPTION:

It is my job to develop and lead a collaborative, university-wide initiative to create the healthiest campus in the United States by 2020. My work encompasses every campus and every person in our community. It is exciting to learn about all the amazing work being done in every area, and my role is to make sure that we are working together. I’m focused on creating collaboration, discussion, engagement and meaningful learning in every interaction. Every day is an opportunity to connect and engage with students and employees across the Kent State community. This includes working with an extremely smart, passionate Kent State of Wellness Executive Committee of students, faculty and staff who have worked to create a strategic plan for developing and implementing a comprehensive shift in culture here at Kent State University.

WORKED AT KENT STATE SINCE:

May 2017

EMPLOYMENT PRIOR TO KENT STATE UNIVERSITY:

Independent wellness and benefits consultant for 2.5 years while caring for my elderly parents, and I taught leadership on the graduate level and organizational development and strategic management undergraduate courses. Prior to that, I spent four years working for the Cleveland Clinic as director of sales and strategy for the CCF Wellness Institute.

B.A. in marketing and MBA from Ursuline College; master’s level work in the humanities at John Carroll University

HOBBIES:

Anything outdoors – hiking, biking, kayaking, backpacking, yoga, meditation, travel, cooking, art, music, gardening, sustainability, and spending time with my family and friends!
