Sleep Soundly 28-Day Challenge Starts March 5

There is nothing like a good night’s sleep, but don’t snooze through this 28-day program designed to help you pay attention to the quantity and quality of your slumber.

Similar to our diet and exercise habits, it can be difficult to make sleep a priority even though it is an essential part of healthy living. Sleep gives our body and mind the chance to repair, rebuild and recover from the events of our daily life. While you sleep, your body is able to increase cell production and repair itself.

Throughout this 28-day program, you will be encouraged to:

  • Establish a bedtime routine and follow it daily to improve your sleep habits.
  • Aim for seven to nine hours of sleep per day.
  • Rate the quality of your sleep each day.

The program kicks off March 5 and is available to all full-time, benefits-eligible employees on all campuses. You do not have to be enrolled in one of the university-sponsored medical plans to participate.

Participants receive educational materials, weekly emails and unlimited telephonic health coaching from Be Well Solutions. In addition, weekly random drawings for prizes will be provided by the Employee Wellness office to keep you motivated and support your wellness goals. Winners will be announced each week throughout the challenge.

In addition, the Sleep Soundly Challenge qualifies for 20 Tier 2 wellness reward points for employees participating in the Wellness Your Way wellness reward program. You must participate in all four weeks of this challenge to qualify for your Tier 2 Wellness Reward points.

Don’t miss out on improving the quality of your sleep! Register to participate by Feb. 28.
