Admission Requirements

We accept students from any academic discipline interested in teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). Students are not required to have background in teaching.  To date, our students have come from a variety of majors ranging from English to Computer Science. Add the TEFL Certificate to your undergraduate major!

Note: Students pursuing a B.A. in TESL can also earn a TEFL Certificate by applying credits from the major to the Certificate requirements.

TEFL Student Instructing Elderly English Learner

Requirements:

  • You must be an undergraduate or post-graduate baccalaureate student. Graduate students can pursue our TESL/TEFL Certificate at the graduate level.
  • You must be at least 18 years of age.
  • You must have excellent English skills and an interest in teaching.
  • You must apply by the deadline by completely the application online within minutes. There is no initial application fee.
