The 2019 Kent State Esports Camp is offered for players, ages 12-17. All skill levels accepted and encouraged to apply. The camp will run Monday through Friday, July 8-12 at the Kent Campus, with a tournament open to family and friends on Friday, July 12. Industry experts from Blizzard, NBA2k, New Territory Gaming and more will host sessions intended to elevate gameplay and develop the foundations to compete at the highest level. The camp will also focus on providing campers a better understanding of careers within Esports, development of techniques for individual and team gameplay, as well as habits for a healthy gaming environment.


Registration opens June 18, 2019. Camp enrollment is first come, first served. 


Camp Highlights:

  • Curriculum designed to build team play, player development and career opportunities
  • Team-based groups of 5, with individual coaching per group
  • Access to industry insiders from Blizzard's Overwatch League, NBA2K and New Territory Gaming
  • Coaching from Varsity Esports coaches and players for Overwatch, League of Legends and Rocket League
  • Focused on-screen skill development, nutritional, physical and psychological training
  • Both on- and off-computer instructions, drills and challenges
  • Participation in the 2019 KSU Esports & NT Gaming Tournament
