Overload

  1. Overload assignments (i.e., workload assignments which total more than twenty-four (24) credit hours per academic year for tenured and tenure-track faculty, and which total more than thirty (30) credit hours per academic year for full-time non-tenure-track faculty), are governed by the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement and will be approved by the Dean only in unusual circumstances. Assignment to overloads for additional compensation is neither a regular expectation nor an obligation of employment of a faculty member. Overload assignments for tenured and tenure-track faculty and for full-time non-tenured track faculty assignments are governed by the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
