Imagine studying away in the world's largest fashion center! Shopping Madison Avenue and SoHo, strolling through Central Park, dining in outdoor cafes, viewing art at the Met or seeing a Broadway play. All this, while earning 6-12 semester credits! Using the city as a guide, the NYC Studio program is designed to immerse students in New York City’s vast fashion, arts and cultural resources.

The NYC Studio program gives students the opportunity to study in New York City for a full semester or summer while completing required coursework. While enrolled in the NYC Studio during the fall or spring semesters, all students are required to enroll in at least 12 credit hours. These hours do not include enrollment in 45092, Internship in Fashion Design & Merchandising.

During the summer, students are required to enroll in at least 6 credit hours.  All students are required to take NY Study Tour and at least one other learning opportunity, with the option to register for up to 12 credits.

All NYC Studio participants are required to sign up for NY Study Tour, which includes visits to fashion, arts, and cultural-related sites, presents guest speakers from the industry and provides students with a general orientation to the city.

Most courses are scheduled in the morning or evening, giving students the flexibility to participate in part-time internship, work or volunteer opportunities. Fall and spring semester courses meet once a week for two-and-a-half hours per class, while summer courses meet twice a week for two-and-a-half hours per class.
