Dr. Buhyung (Ellie) Cho joined the Fashion School at Kent State University as an assistant professor in August 2019. She studies the effect of mergers and acquisitions in textile and apparel industry. Her recent work has examined how the U.S. textile firms have responded to technology-driven mergers and acquisitions. Her research interests include industry and firm-level financial analysis, strategic decision making, and the innovation and new technologies in the textile and apparel industry.
Dr. Cho received her Ph.D. in Textile Technology Management from North Carolina State University and a B.A. in Accounting from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. Prior to her studies at NC State, she was an analyst in the finance department of J.P. Morgan Chase in Seoul, South Korea.
