Alexander McQueen Education Program Inspires Creativity at Home with Digital Project
This week, Alexander McQueen and the Kent State University School of Fashion are inviting students, faculty and anyone interested, to make paper dolls inspired by those made in the Alexander McQueen atelier.
McQueen Creators is a new digital project designed to inspire and initiate creativity. This week, McQueen Creators are inviting all who are interested, to take part in this educational initiative and create paper dolls that are used to visualize the three-dimensional placement of print and embroidery on garments on a small scale.
A tutorial video featuring a member of the McQueen design team making a doll can be found on the Alexander McQueen YouTube channel. Participants may work with the McQueen doll they create or use one of their own, and are encouraged to share and upload images of their finished pieces on social media.
Please use the hashtags #AMQCreatorsKentState and #McQueenCreators and tag @AlexanderMcQueen and @kent.fashionschool on social. A selection of these will later be shared on the Alexander McQueen and Kent State Fashion social media channels.
