Fashion Students Present to Target Execs During Case Study Scholarship Presentations

Last month, merchandising students from Dr. Jihyun Kim’s fashion merchandising seminar classes, received the opportunity to develop research-based merchandising strategies for the private labels owned by the Target Corporation as part of a case study.

Dr. Kim selected the top three teams (each made up of two students) from the two fashion merchandising seminar courses, and then each team presented the results from their semester-long project directly to Target representatives, Thomas Jager and Stephanie Flask.

Each team received positive feedback from the representatives, but students Emily Gebler and Kara Gruver were deemed the winning duo, each receiving a $250 scholarship award from Target.
