Luxury lifestyle brand Michael Kors will partner with the Fashion School at Kent State University to present the school’s 2017 Annual Fashion Show, FS2. FS2 Presented by Michael Kors will span three runway events held at the Fashion School’s Rockwell Hall on April 28 and 29.
“The Fashion School is incredibly pleased that Michael Kors will be the Presenting Partner for our annual fashion show this year, as the company has already contributed to the school’s mission in important ways.” said J.R. Campbell, Fashion School director. “Eighteen students from the Fashion School have conducted their industry internships with the company. In fact, Megan McDonald, one of the senior student co-producers for this year’s fashion show, interned in the men’s division last summer.”
FS2 Presented by Michael Kors, this year subtitled “Reverie,” will once again provide an immersive showcase for work by the Fashion School’s design and merchandising students. Performances include a 2 p.m. Matinee and 7 p.m. Awards Show on Friday, April 28; and a 7 p.m. Sponsor/VIP Show on Saturday, April 29.
Earlier, the Fashion School selected Don Witkowski, a Kent State alumnus and president of men’s at Michael Kors, as the 2017 inductee to the Fashion School Hall of Fame. Don Witkowski will travel to Kent to receive the honor as part of the fashion show weekend festivities. He will also present a free, public lecture at noon on Friday, April 28.
UPDATE, 4/27: Don Witkowski's public lecture has been canceled due to scheduling conflicts. Witkowski will still attend the induction ceremony as planned.
