Over 120 Fashion Merchandising and Design Students Participate in Mock Interviews with top Fashion Brands
Students from the Kent State University Fashion School’s professional seminar class, taught by fashion internship director, Hillary Stone, participated in an astonishing 122 mock interviews over the span of just two days.
The event was organized by Professor Stone with help from the School’s internship liaison manager, Millie Ott, to give both design and merchandising students interview experience to propel their interpersonal and professional development, as well as prepare them for successful careers in the industry. Students even have the opportunity to secure internships and post-graduation jobs if a participating company is hiring.
Sixteen companies participated in the mock interviews this semester including Arhaus, Christina Catherine, the Cleveland Indians, Cynthia’s Boutique, Davide Cotugno Executive Tailors, Dillard’s, Gracy Lane, Interdesign, Jo Ann Inc., Saks Fifth Avenue, Signet Jewelers, The Country Club, Target, UnBox the Dress, University Hospital (UH) and Yellow Cake Shop.
