Kent State Prof Shares Tips to Cope with Social Media Negativity

While scrolling through your favorite social media accounts, it doesn’t take long to get bombarded by politically-charged posts. After one or two, you can feel your blood pressure rising and the temptation to share a thought or two - or even twenty.

Closing your accounts and disengaging altogether is not realistic. So, what should you do to counteract the negativity? SHAPE Magazine reached out to Andrew Lepp, Ph.D., associate professor in Kent State’s College of Education, Health and Human Services. Lepp offers advice on how to stay sane on social media.
