Professors Babacar M’Baye and Joseph Underwood will discuss how post-colonial ideology has shaped the landscape of Senegal to inspire writers and artists. Co-sponsored by the Read Center for International and Intercultural Education. This event is in conjunction with the exhibition The View From Here: Contemporary Perspectives From Senegal.

The discussion will take place at the CVA Gallery at noon on Wednesday, February 6. Free and open to the public.

The exhibition will be on view at the CVA Gallery at the Center for the Visual Arts at Kent State University from January 17 through February 22, 2019.  The opening reception will take place on Friday, January 25 from 5-7 p.m.  Programming and activities will take place throughout the exhibition at Kent State and off campus.  A programming calendar can be found via the link below.
