
Brandie Blankenship
Biography
Brandie Blankenship is the Academic Services Coordinator at Kent State University Geauga Campus and Twinsburg Academic Center. She helps students achieve academic success on their pathway to graduation by providing services such as accommodations for students with disabilities, tutoring, academic workshops, and other resources. After spending 15 years in a university setting assisting students in the areas of advising, professional development, and student support, Brandie knows what it truly takes to connect with students and meet their needs. She has been passionate about education since she was a young child from wanting to become an elementary school teacher to later concluding that working with college students reach their goals and pursue their dreams was her true aspiration. She believes that helping students reach academic success not only leads the student to successful graduation but helps the student personally obtain the skills they need for their career. Brandie has taught time management, leadership skills, marketing and other academic workshops as well as helped implement a peer mentoring program. She holds a Master of Education in Adult Learning and Development and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Cleveland State University.
