Lunch & Learn: Diversity Survival Guide

Lunch and Learn

Diversity Event

Come join us on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the Geauga Campus and Regional Academic Center for an interactive inclusion simulation. The event is offered as part of the Lunch & Learn series and will begin promptly at 12:00 noon.

This immersion-style activity will provide participants with opportunities to look at how our values, beliefs and experiences help determine how we think about people/things.

“This activity forces you to understand yourself so that you can better decide what you want to do. It allows you to have tough conversations in a safe space while seeing others vantage points”. ~Student participant, December 2016

“I gained a greater awareness of the biases and inequalities that exists within our society. I had to quickly based life and death decisions on limited information, which at first was fine until I had to think outside of my life and include others.” ~Community participant, November 2016

“It made me think of the stereotypes that I automatically resort to when interacting with others. The conversation at the end was great! Great trainer!” ~KSU employee, November 2016
