Ohio Humanities Grant Writing Workshop -Open to the Public

Ohio Humanities Grant Workshop in Geauga County 
Wednesday, June 7, 2017: Kent State University at Geauga and Ohio Humanities will co-host a project planning and grant writing workshop. The workshop is free and open to staff members or non-profits organizations.

The workshop will be held at the Geauga Campus, 14111 Claridon Troy Rd., Burton, OH 44021

Ohio Humanities is the Ohio-based partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities and supports cultural programming with grants between $1,000 and $20,000. 
Ohio Humanities is a leading statewide funder of cultural programs that: 

  • help people value the places where they live, work, and play; 
  • connect the past to the present through engaging cultural heritage;
  • offer insight and renewed inspiration to face the challenges of our increasingly complex world.

Assistant Director David Merkowitz will present examples of successfully funded projects, and help applicants describe project activities that link to relevant outcomes. The workshop will conclude with an overview of Ohio Humanities’ grants application process.
