Welcome New Faculty

Welcome to a new academic year!

Please join us in welcoming these four outstanding faculty members to the Kent State University Geauga Campus and Regional Academic Center family as of August 19, 2018.


Dr. Ludmila Leontieva, Economics

Dr. Ludmila (Luda) Leontieva
Dr. Leontieva received her Ph.D. in Economics and will be teaching just that for the Geauga Campus! She is fascinated by the world of Economics and is looking forward to sharing her passion for this field with the students. “It’s especially rewarding to see how learning Economics can make a direct difference in the lives and careers of students.,” she explains.
Dr. Leontieva also enjoys travel, yoga, dogs and teaching mindfulness.
 


Shanell Hill, Nursing

Shanell Hill, MSN, RN
Shanell will be joining the Regional Academic Center as a Lecturer in the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree (ADN) program.  She is excited to meet and guide new nursing students on their journey to becoming a professional nurse.  It gives her great satisfaction to watch nursing students begin to put the pieces together and gain confidence in themselves as prospective nurses. She also is looking forward to making new connections with faculty and the Kent community as a whole. 
Shanell’s special interests include reducing disparities in healthcare, developing clinical faculty, increasing staff nurse research and innovation, and mentoring nursing students. She also loves traveling to beautiful beaches, singing karaoke, volunteering in the community and spending time with her family and friends.
 


Tonnette Jones, Nursing

Tonnette Jones, MSN, RN
Tonnette currently works at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus as an Advanced Practice Nurse. She will be joining the Regional Academic Center as a Lecturer in the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree (ADN) program. Tonnette has already served the ADN program as a part-time Clinical Nursing Instructor for several years now. She received her Master of Science degree in Nursing in 2014 from Ursuline College.


Dana Reeher, Nursing

Dana Reeher, MSN, RN, FNP-BC
Dana will be teaching our Bachelor of Science in Nursing students as a full-time lecturer. Dana is looking forward to getting to know all of the nursing students and helping them through their nursing college career. She enjoys spending time with her 3 year-old daughter and her husband, riding her bicycle and listening to music.
