My research interest focuses on the synoptic climatological approach to the south Asian monsoon climate especially focusing on how self-organizing map techniques increase the understanding of the monsoon climate, especially circulation pattern is the way to the seasonality, Self-Organizing maps ( SOM) based objective estimation of seasonal onset, circulation pattern is the way to monsoon mechanism, relationship of synoptic validation between large scale to local response, ENSO relationships, monsoon depression, tropical storm and thunderstorm, seasonal variability and precipitation trends are all of the particular interest.
