Field Trip to Cuyahoga Valley NP
Beautiful weather and local geology conspired to bring out nearly 100 students to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park on Sunday April 15. Students from the Stark Campus in Dr. Carrie Schweitzer’s Earth History class and the Kent Campus in Dr. Rod Feldmann’s Earth History class and the Earth History Laboratory sections run by Adina and Ovidiu Franţescu and Cristina Robins enjoyed the trip. Students examined weathering of headstones, stream erosion, and rock types and formation of ledges in the park. For many, it was their first trip and a great introduction to our National Park!
