Check our events often for announcements ranging from concerts to workshops and festivals, to sightseeing trips - all with the power to broaden your understanding and appreciation of the world. All are supported by the Office of Global Education and our campus and community friends.

The International Student Event Fund (ISEF) is now available to international student organizations with a membership majority of international students for use in conducting activities and events. If you have questions or require additional information about the International Student Event Fund, please contact the Office of Global Education at: isss@kent.edu

We understand that it can be stressful to leave family and friends behind to live in another country. The good news is most international students make new friends through the series of monthly events hosted by the International Student and Scholar Services team. September

  • Saturday, September 25th - Fall Hike, 9:00 – 10:00 am,  Meet at: John Brown Tannery Park, 300 Stow Street, Kent. Followed by Free coffee at the Haymaker Farmers Market from 10:00 am to Noon

October

  • Friday, October 1st - Homecoming International Celebration (Hosted by International Student Affairs)
  • Wednesday, October 6th - Coffee with a Cop, 1:30 - 4:00 pm, Terrace Hall Lobby
  • Friday, October 8th - Employment for F-1 Visa Holders: On-campus, CPT, & OPT, 12:30 - 1:30 pm, White Hall 200
  • Tuesday, October 19th - Cultural Café, Lebanon/Malaysia, 3:30 – 5:00 pm, Kent Student Center / Ballroom Balcony

November

  • November 15th – 19th - 2021 International Education Week (IEW) - Check back for details regarding the week's events

  • September 20th – 24th - Education Abroad Showcase, Programming centered around how and where to study abroad, workshops and lectures focusing on specific programs or destinations, careers in international education, how study abroad impacts your career/resume,  returning/reentry programs.   • November 15th – 19th - 2021 International Education Week (IEW) - Check back for details regarding the week's events

February

  • February 14th – 18th, 2022 - I Heart Travel Week, This mostly student-driven week is focused on international education and study abroad. Check back for details regarding the week's events.
