Deborah joined Kent State’s Office of Global Education in May 2013. As director of academic relations, her job is to support global education on campus. She works on initiatives to improve the academic success and social integration of Kent State international students, as well as initiatives to help Kent State domestic students to become more globally minded citizens. She also works to improve collaboration between the Office of Global Education and the colleges.
Deborah started working at Kent State in 1994, first as a graduate assistant while completing a master’s degree in journalism, then as an adjunct faculty member, an academic advisor, and finally as coordinator of international programs for the College of Communication and Information before coming to OGE.
