I-94

Overview

As an F-1 visa student, you should maintain a record of all of your Immigration Documents including a copy of your I-94. 

• Your I-94 is the lawful record of admission by CBP into the U.S. You should maintain copies of your I-94 along with ALL of your immigration documents.  The U.S. Custom and Border Protection website will maintain records going back 5 years.
• The ISSS team recommends that you submit your I-94 as part of your student record, so that a copy is retained for longer than 5 years. Each time that you enter the U.S., a new I-94 record is produced.
