Kent State Faculty-Led

Faculty-led programs offer you a chance to take your learning out of the traditional classroom and directly into the context you are studying. These programs are led by your Kent State faculty members and typically range from one to three weeks over the winter, spring, and summer breaks.

Courses Offered

Usually offered as one to three credit hour courses, faculty-led programs can help fulfill your major requirements or serve as general electives. These programs are offered by almost every college, so there are often opportunities for a variety of majors. Whether you are a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior, there is likely to be a faculty-led program you can participate in. Programs change every year, so be sure to check our online program database for the latest opportunities.

Guided Experience

Because these programs are shorter in length and led by Kent State faculty, the overall experience can be more guided. Faculty-led programs typically have a set itinerary with group activities as well as some free time for you to explore on your own. Depending on the program, you may also be able to participate in a group flight to and from your host country.
